2025 marks 60 years since Malcolm X visited Marshall Street in the town of Smethwick.

Join us at Sandwell Archives and view some of our fascinating documents and understand the importance his visit holds to both our local and international history.

Hosted by Sandwell Archives between 11am- 1pm on Wednesday 12 February, there will be reading material, videos, and newspaper articles available for you to browse, explore and discover tis fascinating story.

We ask that you do not bring in any food, drink or writing materials that could damage our documents.

Photography is only permitted when purchasing a camera licence.
